kobunroma started following you
[oh, but he can’t go to sleep yet—he peeks out of his covers, peering up blearily at the other. It takes him a long moment, but he finally recognizes him—Roma. Roma. His lips quiver]
I—oh, you…you’re back, Roma…
[and a small smile cascades his face as he sits up, letting his blankets fall as he raises his arms]
—welcome home, Roma. I missed you.
*the boy smiled brightly, giving a playful salute to the other*
I don’t leave forever, I’ll always come back.
*Hugs tightly* Grazie, I missed you as well. Hopefully things have been going good since I was away.
[he’s honestly too tired and sick to give a salute back, but instead nuzzles into the other’s arms, wrapping tight around Roma and pulling him into the blanket fort that he’s been sleeping in]
Uh huh. I’ve been really good, Roma. Really really good. I know you didn’t see, but I’m happy now. I’ve got a big brother all to myself and he’s kind and wonderful and good. And I’ve got a mommy and a daddy just like you do. Not my mamas and papas, but a really mommy and a real daddy even if we aren’t related by blood…well, me and daddy are.
How are you, Roma. [he snuggles against the other]
That’s good. Everyone needs a real mommy and daddy that’ll love them forever.
*snuggles back thinking of how he’s been* I’ve been okay. School’s over with and hopefully I’ll be going back to Italy for a visit soon. *smiles softly* Actually I’m really, really good too. *starts to grin* Better than I’ve ever been really—well, not ever since nothing can really top the past, but close enough.
Oh—oh, yeah. My mamas and papas come and go, but my mommy and daddy are here forever. I’m glad you get that, Roma. [he laughs slightly, still hugging against Roma, rocking slightly]
And, mmmh. I’m glad your school is over. I haven’t gone to school yet, you know? I was thinking about it for a while, and lots of people told me that I could board around and transfer to lots and lots of different schools in different countries…but I like living in Italy right now, so I’m not gonna go yet…
[he pauses, before looking up at Roma]
It’s funny. I live in Italy and you live in England, even though we should be switched.
