Le Petit Prince
All Children Grow, Except One
"To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world..." --Le Petit Prince

Peter, hearing the Italian’s voice, peered back down, blinking before smiling back. “Hullo!” he cheered, waving back. “Of course you can come up! I’m not like those mean boys who say that their tree houses are for boys only, no girls allowed! Everyone’s allowed up in here, just come up!”

“Grazie Peter.” With a smile, she climbed up the tree. Wow. It had been a while since she had done that. Daisy was only thankful that she hadn’t been wearing heals. Not want the child to see her injury, she sat down and rested the part of her face with the torn lip on her hand. “This is actually quite an amazing tree house. Did you build this yourself?”

“Course I built it by m’self,” the boy chimed, grinning from ear to ear. “I really like it! I built it m’self, even though Laoshee helped a little bit—it was mostly me!” he grinned, before laying back, outstretching his hands and closing his eyes. “Isn’t it neat?”
